Kinloch (2022)
3’ 30”, for brass band
This work expands on a simple four-note pattern through various harmonic changes, featuring solos for principal cornet and euphonium.
The main ideas for the work were conceived in Kinloch, which sits upon Lake Taupō.
The work was commissioned for the D Grade Test Hymn at the 2022 NZ National Brass Band Championships.
It is dedicated to my friends and family. They know who they are.
